Hello Green Drinkers

Because we like to do something special for December’s Green Drinks, this year we will have juice and jam from Leeds Urban Harvest, who pick fruit from street and garden trees around the city, and a special cake event – Green Bake Leeds

Some of our regular Green Drinkers are baking cakes (and there’s nothing to stop you bringing your own!), so come down and see what Leeds’ Green Drinkers have been cooking up…

As you may know, Green Drinks Leeds’ regular meeting day is the 4th Tuesday of the month which will fall on the 28th of December. As many of us are likely to be away or busy for Christmas, so we’ve decided to shift it forward by a week to the 21st.

Green Bake Leeds, The Reform, 12-14 Merrion Street, Leeds
21 December 2010, 6pm onwards

We’ve just had some exciting news confirmed for our first event of 2011 on Jan 25th. In fact there are three great green treats:
1. Tour of the award winning ‘Greenhouse’ low carbon home and office development: http://www.greenhouseleeds.co.uk
2. Talk by Leeds City Council’s Head of Sustainable Development, Tom Knowland
3. Nibbles and drinks laid on complimentary by our very kind hosts and new best friends; Citu Developments who created Greenhouse.

This event is sure to have a lot of interest, so as a one off we are asking people to confirm their (free) place by booking at: http://greendrinksleeds.eventbrite.com/
