We have a topical double bill for you at October’s Green Drinks Leeds on the subject of Fuel Poverty. As fossil fuels become scarcer and we recognise our need to move away from them, and as the climate changes (with potential for the UK to get much colder according to some climate models), Fuel Poverty is set to become an increasingly important issue.

We welcome Robert Curtis, from Leeds City Council, to open for us, talking about the Council’s strategies and actions in relation to Fuel Poverty. This will be followed by an introduction to Fuel Poverty from TIDAL.

Join two of TIDAL’s new fuel poverty campaign team, Kristina and Stefan, for an introduction to the key issues and challenges of securing a safe and affordable energy future for Leeds. There will also be opportunity for discussion and to find out more about Leeds Fuel Poverty Action Network.

There will also be the usual opportunities to network over a drink.
