Green Drinks Leeds is one of around 700 monthly networking events around the world where people from across the environmental spectrum, from business to government to academia to activism, get together over a drink or two to make new contacts and enjoy each others’ company. It’s a simple idea, but one that’s spread to over 50 countries around the world.

Green Drinks Leeds is jointly coordinated by Anzir Boodoo and Alexis Keech.

Anzir is a PhD student at the Institute for Transport Studies in the University of Leeds, and an active environmental campaigner working with community groups and Professional Institutes.

Alexis is the Environmental and Sustainability Manager for Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust.  She has also worked with Arcadis, EarthTech (Australia), BWB and if on the Board of Trustees for REAP (Roundhay Environmental Action Project).

We enjoy running Green Drinks in Leeds, and welcome any feedback you may have on the events. If you’d like to help us organise Green Drinks Leeds, find speakers or put together workshops, discussions or visits, please let us know.

  1. Hello
I was just wondering whether you were looking into other venues to host green drinks – from what i read i gathered Lounge is your home but you do use other venues from time to time….
distrikt is situated in the city centre, close to briggate, and is an independently owned bar. We buy all of our produce from the market and sykes house farm, recycle and generally do what we can for the community
i hope these factors contribute towards your decision to use us in the near future – If you’re in town and want to check us out, give me a call on 07837426392 and I’ll show you around…. Rosita Rogers
